As a member-owned cooperative, The Alliance strives to bring to life its mission statement of moving health care forward by controlling costs, improving quality and engaging individuals in their health.
To guide us in the right direction, a team of staff members were recruited to re-create shared values that act as our organization’s guiding principles to help us determine if we are fulfilling our business goals and living out our mission statement effectively.
The team was in charge of re-identifying and recommending organizational values that meet our core objectives of achieving our mission, serving our members and supporting our desired culture.
After a lot of thought and conversation, The Alliance is proud to release our new six values that we will embrace and live by each and every day while at work:
Our members’ interests are our interests. We strive to be good stewards of their ownership in the cooperative while working to meet or exceed their expectations.
We will be ethical and reliable in all of our relationships. We do what is right.
We recognize that each other’s talents are an integral part of our success. We support work/life balance and each other’s need to learn, grow and thrive.
We seek innovative ways to improve our products, services and processes so we can deliver the best value to members. We work hard, applaud success and learn from mistakes.
We recognize and appreciate each other’s differences. We value transparency, honesty, fairness and the courage to take an opposing position. We work as a team but remain accountable for individual actions.
We engage in productive play because it encourages creativity, builds camaraderie and inspires trust. We celebrate achievements, appreciate each other and use humor to make work fun.
