WisconsinRx National CooperativeRx

The Alliance has shared a partnership with National CooperativeRx since the launch of the pharmaceutical benefits management coalition in 2004. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of National CooperativeRx and we were honored to be a part of the celebration.

The anniversary event was held on May 1 and 2 at the Chula Visit Resort in Wisconsin Dells with more than 100 members, agents and partners in attendance.

The Alliance’s very own Paul Meyer, who is also National CooperativeRx’s Board Chair, gave a cooperative update for the year as well as taking a look back at just how much the cooperative has accomplished throughout the 10 years. Some of the highlights include:

  • In 2007 the cooperative outgrew its WisconsinRx name and started doing business as National CooperativeRx outside of Wisconsin to include its members nationwide.
  • National CooperativeRx headquarters has changed locations three times to accommodate its growing staff.
  • Its membership has grown from just three founding members to now 159 members.
  • The cooperative’s average trend for an aggregate of nine years was -0.7 percent, translating into lower costs per individual to receive pharmacy benefits.

We applaud WisconsinRx/ National Cooperative’s success and can’t wait to help them celebrate in another ten years.
