Direct Primary Care

Direct Primary Care

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a care model that removes traditional fee-for-service billing and replaces it with a simple monthly membership. Patients receive direct access to their primary care provider, often with same- or next-day appointments, longer visits, and easier communication. This allows clinicians to focus on prevention, chronic condition management, and whole-person care.

Across Wisconsin and the Midwest, a growing number of employers are adopting DPC as part of their health benefit strategy. They’re drawn to improved access, stronger patient-provider relationships, and reduced downstream costs that come from early intervention and proactive care.

Direct Primary Care practitioners are included in The Alliance network and our Find a Doctor tool, making it easier for employers and members to identify and access these high-value primary care options. List your practice and practitioners in The Alliance directory to make it easier for patients to be referred to you.
