Speakers

John Stephens

Chief Strategy Officer , WPS Health Solutions

John Stephens is the Chief Strategy Officer at WPS, responsible for the strategy and people teams (which include HR, Benefits, Communications and DEI), and he also now leads WPS’ health insurance business, comprised of ASO/Self-Funded business, group risk, individual, Family Care (a Wisconsin Medicaid adjacent program), and Medicare Supplement.

John joined WPS in 2013, bringing expertise in strategic planning, business growth, and health care business model innovation. He is a community board member for the Wisconsin Chapter of JDRF, board member of WPS subsidiaries Epic and WPS Health plan, and was a past board member of Aspirus Arise Health Plan.

He earned a degree in economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Jennifer Pagels

Vice President of Human Resources, AprilAire

Jennifer Pagels is Vice President of Human Resources for AprilAire, where she provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. She has 20+ years of experience in consumer products and manufacturing organizations, implementing programs to help drive engagement, attract and retain talent, and deliver on the company’s key business initiatives. Jennifer is also a former Board Member for The Alliance.

Michelle Golden

Executive Director of Human Resources & Public Relations, Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District

Michelle Golden is the Executive Director of Human Resources and Public Relations for the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District. She and her team opened an onsite DPC using ReforMedicine, in July 2017. Since then, the district has saved over $18 million dollars in health insurance costs. The cost savings have gone into staff compensation.

Melina Kambitsi, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Marketing, The Alliance

Dr. Melina Kambitsi joined The Alliance in 2017 and leads the teams responsible for membership growth and retention. Dr. Kambitsi comes to The Alliance from Network Health in Milwaukee and Menasha, Wisconsin where she was chief sales and strategy officer. In this role, she was responsible for sales and underwriting, strategic planning, product development and risk-based contract analytics. Dr. Kambitsi currently serves on National CooperativeRx’s Board of Directors.
