This webinar will help identify the factors that can stand in the way of employees achieving their health and well-being goals, and present evidence-based strategies to activate employee motivation for healthy living. We’ll conclude with a brief discussion on what employers can do to help reduce barriers to accessing healthcare.

Jessica Grossmeier, Ph.D., MPH

Jessica Grossmeier, Ph.D., MPH is an award-winning researcher and the author of Reimagining Workplace Well-being: Fostering a Culture of Purpose, Connection, and Transcendence. She is a leading voice in workplace well-being, having dedicated her career to identifying evidence-based strategies that promote a thriving workforce.

Jessica works with employers and well-being service providers to identify evidence-based practices to support employee well-being and foster a culture of health. This includes collaborative research, advising, writing, and speaking on topics related to workplace well-being best practices, measurement and evaluation, strategic planning, and value demonstration.

Jessica has published more than 80 articles in professional journals and served as co-editor of The Art of Health Promotion section in the American Journal of Health Promotion. She frequently presents at industry conferences, events, and webinars and has served as a judge for national well-being award programs including the C. Everett Koop National Health Award.

Senior VP, Business Development and Strategic Marketing – The Alliance

Melina Kambitsi, Ph.D. joined The Alliance in 2017 and leads the team responsible for membership growth and retention of the cooperative. Dr. Kambitsi comes to The Alliance from Network Health in Milwaukee and Menasha, Wisconsin where she was chief sales and strategy officer. In this role, she was responsible for sales and underwriting, strategic planning, product development and risk-based contract analytics. Previously, she was senior vice president of sales at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Honolulu, Hawaii and the vice president of sales, marketing and product development at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kambitsi received her bachelor’s in international studies and her master’s and doctorate degrees in economic geography at The Ohio State University. She speaks Greek fluently as well as four other languages (Spanish, French, Romanian and Russian).
