The Alliance expands its Premier Networks to add The Premier Network Emerald.

MADISON, WI. (April 3, 2023) – The Alliance continuously works to improve and expand their customizable networks to offer more options for employers to customize their benefit plan design and manage their healthcare costs for their business and their employees.

The Alliance is proud to introduce The Premier Network Emerald. While The Premier Network Ruby (formerly known as The Premier Network) has been serving employers in Wisconsin since 2020, The Premier Network Emerald is a new addition to The Alliance Premier Networks.

The Premier Networks by The Alliance – The Premier Network Emerald and The Premier Network Ruby – are the most customizable networks for employers that want to incentivize and guide their employees toward certain providers to maximize their plan savings. With the capability to support up to four provider network tiers, employers can encourage employees and their family members to make smart decisions within a broad network. Tiers range from preferred, offering the best value, to comprehensive, which offer the most choice.

High-value tiered networks benefit employees through low, or no-cost care in preferred tiers. By knowing the up-front costs of care, employees have the information they need to make smarter healthcare decisions for themselves and their families. While they are free to seek care wherever they feel most comfortable, tiering incentivizes employees to seek care where the quality is good, and price is low.

The Premier Network Emerald by The Alliance features a range of providers, including UW Health System and Gundersen Health System. This network is available now for contracts beginning July 1st, 2023.

The Premier Network Emerald provides an additional high-value network option for employers in the following counties:

The Alliance Premier Network will now be known as The Premier Network Ruby. This network will remain the same, retaining the current providers, including the UW Health System and Marshfield Clinic Health System, and serve the following counties:

Employers looking for a customizable high-value network that will expand coverage for their employees should consider The Premier Networks by The Alliance.
