New health plan offering partners The Alliance, WPS, and Auxiant

New health plan offering partners The Alliance, WPS, and Auxiant

MADISON, WI (September 20, 2022) ─ WPS Health Insurance, powered by Auxiant, is working with The Alliance to offer employers Administrative Services Only (ASO) health plans to offer coverage to their employees. ASO health plans wrap The Alliance’s Smarter NetworksSM with new coverage to provide employers with even more provider options.

Services available from WPS, powered by Auxiant can be tailored to each employer to meet their specific needs. “The Alliance is pleased to be working with WPS and Auxiant to help make self-funding more accessible to our employers,” said Melina Kambitsi, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Marketing. “We know self-funding can be confusing, but since healthcare is often the second or third largest budget item, it is important to know how to control those costs better.  And we believe self-funding is the way to do that.”

This new ASO offering is available now and can help employers who want to take control of their health care costs by switching to self-funding but don’t know where to start.  With healthcare prices increasing every year and Wisconsin in the top five most expensive healthcare states in the US, employers are switching to self-funding to avoid paying premiums on their fully insured plans, instead funding their health plans to pay for the medical and prescription drug claims of employees and their families.

Plus, the partnership makes available a turnkey solution of more than 30 Stop-Loss partners, 27 Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services, care management, and health care navigation programs.

In addition to the employer benefits, employees have access to a local center call team, care management to assist them in managing their health, and a dedicated nurse line to help them navigate the health care system. Employers interested in learning more about self-funding or this new product can contact The Alliance Business Development team at 1-833-473-5589.
