Continued Membership Growth: The Alliance is 340+ Employer-Members Strong

Employer Member Growth

MADISON, WI. (September 19, 2023) – In fiscal year 2021-2022, membership in The Alliance grew to over 340 employers. The Alliance provides health coverage for over 115,000 lives, including 56,000 employees and their families.

The Alliance is a not-for-profit cooperative that is owned and governed by its members for the benefit of its members. The cooperative’s mission is to move healthcare forward by controlling costs, improving quality, and engaging individuals in their health. The Alliance uses the strength of its collective bargaining power to change the way healthcare is bought and delivered using the four core drivers of high-value healthcare: transparency, payment reform, benefit plan design, and provider network design. The cooperative helps its employer-members secure high-value healthcare for their employees and their families with its Smarter NetworksSM and deep data mining and analytics.

Smarter Networks

The Alliance helps self-funded employers design custom provider networks that save them and their employees money. The cooperative’s Comprehensive Network includes 38,000 healthcare providers and offers the broadest coverage for self-funded employers in the state of Wisconsin. This broad network offers employees the most choice and improves access to high-value healthcare. The Alliance’s Premier Networks offer a customized option for employers that want to incentivize and guide their employees toward certain providers to maximize their plan savings.

Smarter HealthSM Analysis

The Alliance empowers employers to make data-based decisions by providing healthcare analytics through Smarter Health analysis. Smarter Health is a customized healthcare analytics report that provides each of The Alliance’s employer-members with the foundation to design an effective benefit plan. The cooperative consults with its employer-members to help them understand their data so they can see where their healthcare dollars are being spent and find opportunities to save without compromising the quality of care.

Employers are joining The Alliance to find innovative solutions for their benefit plan and share ideas with like-minded employers and benefit partners.
